Petzl ASCENSION

Petzl's ASCENSION handled rope clamp is designed for rope ascents and features an ergonomically shaped handle with overmoulded dual density grip for greater friction and better grip. The grip is wider at the bottom, providing better comfort for your pinkie fingers during use and features a 1 cm-wide lower hole for easily attaching two karabiners for a lanyard and footloop. The index finger indent has also been increased, offering greater efficiency when pulling on the ascender, even with gloves. The stainless steel toothed-cam is integrated into the frame to prevent rubbing against the rope and facilitate passage of the rope through the device and features a self-cleaning slot which optimises performance under wet, icy or dirty conditions. A safety catch is totally integrated into the body of the rope clamp to help prevent snagging and helping keep the rope captured. The geometry of the single piece aluminium frame ensures optimal handle orientation when the device is loaded and will maintain solid, comfortable performance for ascents of any length.
