GIS Hoist Load Chain

Rigging Services supplies hoist chain manufactured for GIS electric chain hoists made from high tensile profile steel chain that corresponds to grade DAT according to EN818-7. The case hardened and manganese phosphated profile steel chain provides about 15% more capacity than an identical nominal diameter compared to the round steel chain. The larger cross-sectional area reduces wear and increases the lifetime of the chain. The manganese phosphating improves its corrosion resistance and dry running properties.

Before use, the chain should be oiled in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.

Should you require a length other than what is listed, please contact one of our branches who will be happy to offer their expertise and assistance!

    EN818-7-DAT
The EN certification specifies the requirements related to safety for hoist chain (sizes 4-22 mm), Grade T (type T quenched and tempered and types DAT and DT case hardened), for use in serial chain hoists manual and power driven. Type DAT and type DT hoist chains possess surface hardnesses greater than core hardness and are used for power driven chain hoists to offer greater resistance to wear. Type DT hoist chain differs from DAT hoist chain in having higher surface hardness and/or greater case depth to optimise wear resistance.
