CM Prostar Load Chain

Rigging Services supplies hoist chain manufactured by RUD who are known in the industry as a worldwide manufacturer and supplier for a range of hoist chains made from highly wear resistant steel according to EN818-7.  You can rest assured that RUD Chain performs each and every time since their hoist chain technical department has acquired a great degree of knowledge and expertise in the development of hoist chain, working with many of the world's leading hoist manufacturers. The advantages of RUD hoist chain includes an extremely high resistance to wear due to its robust surface and depth hardness which results in a long service life. In addition to this, the quality is optimised with regard to the fatigue strength under oscillation stresses. All hoist chain is calibrated and precision made to be compatible with the drive wheels of manufacturer’s hoists.

Before use, the chain should be oiled in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. RUD have found through testing that regular lubrication of the chain, a figure of 15-20 times higher number of cycles can be obtained with lubricated chain than with a dry un-lubricated chain. RUD also supplies limit guages calibrated for the various hoist types of a manufacturer (both national and international brands) aiding in determination of the state of wear.

Should you require a length or surface treatment other than what is listed, please contact one of our branches who will be happy to offer their expertise and assistance!

    EN818-7-DAT
The certification specifies the requirements related to safety for hoist chain (sizes 4-22 mm), Grade T (type T quenched and tempered and types DAT and DT case hardened), for use in serial chain hoists manual and power driven. Type DAT and type DT hoist chains possess surface hardnesses greater than core hardness and are used for power driven chain hoists to offer greater resistance to wear. Type DT hoist chain differs from DAT hoist chain in having higher surface hardness and/or greater case depth to optimise wear resistance.

    RUD RTS Quality
The RUD RTS quality designation relates to material, chain design and production processes. RTS quality chains are suited for high demand applications in motor driven hoists and offers chain case hardness achieved through conventional heat treatment resulting in a low case hardening depth.
