The Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO is a single lanyard with integrated compact energy absorber designed for protection on a horizontal lifeline (rope or cable) or on an elevated platform, without passing intermediate anchors. A durable fabric pouch which opens at each end, protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber. The energy absorber works with users who weigh between 50 and 130 kg by progressively tearing stitched webbing that reduces the impact of a fall. It has several installation options on the harness and can be used with different types of connectors. It features the VARIO adjustment system, allowing the lanyard length to be adjusted in order to reduce the potential fall height. Depending on the connectors used, ABSORBICA-I VARIO is certified to North American, European and Russian standards. All Petzl products are guaranteed for three years against any defects in materials or manufacture.
