Petzl ASAP Mobile Fall Arrest Devices

The Petzl ASAP revolutionised the way back up devices functioned and created a device that combined hands free movement up and down the rope along with minimal deployment time and a predictable arrest distance. The ASAP provides constant fall protection for falls, slides and uncontrolled descents on vertical or angled rope. The device is easily installed or removed from any point on the rope and moves freely without any manual intervention and accompanies the user in all his movements. In case of shock or sudden acceleration due to a fall, the ASAP locks on the rope and stops the user, even if grabbed during a fall. Petzl’s design team continued to watch how people work at height and noted the evolving techniques that are allowing workers to overcome new access challenges. The ASAP may also be combined with an ASAP’SORBER or ASAP'SORBER AXESS energy absorbing lanyard to work at a distance from the rope. The latter can be used for loads of up to 250 kg in two-person rescue situations. Building on the ASAP core features, the ASAP-LOCK includes an integrated locking function allowing the user to immobilise the device to reduce the length of a fall. In case of a strong wind, this function also prevents the rope from being blown upward. The connection arm of the ASAP-LOCK makes the system drop-resistant when passing intermediate anchors. Choose the product right for your needs - the ASAP or ASAP-LOCK. Both are individually tested and guaranteed for three years against any defects in materials or manufacture.
