Hoist Mains/Control Paired Multicore

Multicore cables reduce the amount of cable runs to electric chain hoists thereby saving weight placed on rigging elements

    Multicore's are essential to reducing the amount of cabling required and thereby the static loading of a lift were multiple electric chain hoists are used. One multicore comprises of two cables paired together to route power and control from a low voltage (LV) hoist controller to 4 electric chain hoists. Each multicore cable features an industry standard 19-pin Socapex style connector at each end of a 1.5 or 2.5 mm2 cross section cable of lengths varying from 5 to 40 metres. The power cable conveys 415 Volts of three phase power while the control cable carries 110 Volts of single phase power. The connector ends are reversed to prevent mismatching. Our entire plant hire stock of electrical chain hoists, cable and control are all regularly tested and inspected by Rigging Services to ensure safe and dependable operation.

    Cable: Durable, unshielded rubber cable for indoor or outdoor installation in dry, damp or wet environments and hazardous environments (subject to local regulations). The synthetic rubber compound is resistant to ozone, UV rays, sunlight and weathering.
